Buscar Mexico – Spanish 1

(My second time doing this since it decided to delete everything I’ve written)

In Spanish 1, we read a book titled “Pobre Ana,” and through the book, we learned the geography of Mexico and the populations of a couple of places. It was surprising the number of the main capital compared to a city like Austin. I think it’s amazing and outstanding the places and cultures that are there. These are a few places I choose out of the many places in Mexico.

Wooly Week – Spanish 1

For Wooly Week, we did a couple of different activities. We went through and watched some songs, completeing the nuggets as we went along. The songs were unique and different, more wild and entertaining than the last. The nuggets helped us on our vocabulary in Spanish, so we can improve as we go. We also played multiple games. They were enjoyable and fun to play. We went through activities and did group discussions on parts of the song. We eventually wrote an “essay” regarding one of the songs.
My favorite thing was the nuggets. They were easy to accomplish, yet it helped tremendously with my vocabulary. It also strengthen my vocabulary for the words I’ve already learned. It was entertaining, but annoying at the same time. You had to rewatch the video again after every nugget you completed, but that was not a problem. It was quite easy to memorize the lyrics after listening to the song that many times.

“Billy la Bufanda” was one of the songs that we had listened to. It was rather odd and disturbing at the same time. The two sisters boots seem way too young for Billy, and the fact that Billy’s voice drops octaves was spine-chilling. It was difficult to watch numerous times, but the beginning was okay.
